Farm forward sourcing with regenerative impacts.

We are pleased to introduce our first co-op fiber pool, enabling small brands and artisans to purchase Climate Beneficial™ Verified textiles at less-than-MOQ (minimum order quantity).

We have chosen two variations of a 100% cotton knit from parent Fibershed’s Climate Beneficial Verified textile program, and will offer a minimum buy-in of 20 yards.

Please see below for more details about how to reserve a space in the co-op!

Reservations due: Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Background on CBV

Fibershed is committed to revitalizing home-grown fiber production. From California to the Southeast, Fibershed’s network of farmers are implementing regenerative practices on U.S. croplands. Originally marketed as C4 cotton (California Cotton Climate Coalition) our Climate Beneficial Verified fiber consists of long staple cotton like Pima and Acala as well as shorter staple Upland cotton varieties.

In California, more than 200,000 acres of cotton are grown in the San Joaquin Valley—enough to create at least 7 pairs of jeans each year for every person in the state. Within cotton systems, we see an opportunity to rebuild soil carbon and water-holding capacity, renew biodiverse wildlife habitats, reduce or eliminate the use of synthetic fertilizers and herbicides, and more.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Reservations for the Pool will be open until September 24, 2025. When we’ve met the MOQ (minimum order quantity) of 1300 yards, we will request deposits from everyone who has reserved yardage and place the order with Laguna Fabrics. The lead time is currently 5-6 weeks. When we receive the yardage, we will make arrangements to meet up in one location near DTLA for delivery of the fiber. If you live out-of-area, we will quote shipping and handling separately.

Please note: If you would like 5 yards or less, you can purchase samples through Fibershed at the CBV link above. If you can meet the MOQ, please purchase directly from Laguna Fabrics, link here >>. If you need a cut and sew solution, please contact Vector Apparel, link here >>.

Our co-op pool offers the same fabric at quantities that bridge the gap for smaller brands and artisans who cannot meet full scale production quantities.

The Steps:

  1. Select from one of two available SKUs: 100% cotton, 7-7.5 light weight jersey, laundered, natural tone, $13.56 / yd or 100% Cotton, 10.5-11 heavy-weight jersey, bleached PFD, $15.66/yd. Both are using the long staple Acala.

    • MOQ for the light jersey is 1500 yards; for the heavy jersey is 1000 yards

  2. Commit to purchase: Please visit our Reservation Form to review and commit to your yardage. For your convenience, this form also includes the purchase agreement and related details.

  3. Deadline: The Pool will close on September 24, 2025. Because the Pool seeks to combine multiple orders to meet Laguna’s MOQ collectively, we must have your reservation by September 24

  4. Pay a Deposit: When we collectively meet the MOQ, we will email with instructions to send a 50% deposit. All monies (check or credit card) must be received within 7 business days of the request for deposit.

  5. Delivery: Laguna’s stated lead time is 5-6 weeks. Remember, please, this lead time begins after we’ve met the MOQ and received the deposit checks. When the fabric is ready for pick-up, we will request the balance due, then arrange a day/time in DTLA for you to pick up your order. (You may also arrange shipping with us, for an additional shipping & handling fee.)

Please note: in the unfortunate event that we do not meet the MOQ, we will suspend the Pool and we will not place an order.
